How We Print Your Decals
Our decals are fully odorless and dry, waterproof and UV-proof, tack-free and smooth to the touch, and finished with a protective 3M laminate.
We print on high-definition eco-solvent printers set to high-resolution mode, so even 3pt text stays razor-sharp, and colors and gradients come out rich and smooth without blur or pixelation. An 8-color ink set printing at 1440 DPI delivers stunningly vibrant color.
Each decal is covered edge to edge with 3M 8519 Luster Laminate, a premium cast film that adds outstanding resistance to UV light and water plus strong protection against chemicals, solvents and abrasion. Lamination also extends the inks' resistance to UV fading, so under normal conditions your colors stay fade-free through as many as 8 years of use.

Sizing & Cut Options
Decals come in any size from a 6 × 6-inch minimum up to 58 × 1500 inches, entered in inches as height × width. Choose from many standard shapes (round, oval, rectangle or square), have them contour cut to a custom shape, or get them cut as lettering or individual objects.
Single-Piece Shaped Decals
We can cut decals to any standard shape, including a circle, oval, rectangle or square with rounded or square corners, or to any custom shape you supply. A shaped decal is finished as one complete piece, a lot like a sticker, and goes onto the surface as a single sheet of vinyl. Solid-shape decals don't get application tape.
Contour-Cut Decals and Individual Cut-Outs
Contour cutting lets us cut decals into any complex or hollow shape, including separate objects such as lettering. With this option, one decal order can be made up of several smaller decals, each built from multiple contour-cut pieces of your overall graphic. It handles complex graphics with or without cutouts, along with lettering and multiple graphic objects. To make installation easier, we add application tape at our discretion or when you ask for it.
Preparing Your Artwork Files
Our team checks every file you upload by hand before printing, and we only go ahead with an order that can be printed at a flawless, uncompromising 100% quality.
Bigger files can be zipped and sent using any cloud file sharing service that isn't password protected.
- Bleeds
- Required on every contour-cut and non-standard shape order. Add a 0.125 bleed all the way around each cut path. Custom-cut orders that arrive without bleeds will be rejected. For help setting up bleeds, get in touch with us.
- JPEG / PNG
- Build the file at the real decal size, 300 dpi, in RGB color mode, uncompressed and saved at Photoshop quality 12.
- PSD / PSB / TIFF
- Real decal size at 300 dpi in RGB color mode, with every layer merged into a single background layer.
- PDF / AI / EPS
- Real decal size in CMYK or RGB color mode. Embed linked images, convert text to outlines and expand strokes. Use high-res raster images only, placed at 50–100% scale. Don't password-protect files, and export to PDF if possible.
