Window Cling Specifications
Our window clings are made from vinyl with a high plasticizer content (usually PVC), which lets the material hold onto smooth surfaces with no adhesive at all.
How They Stick
Instead of glue, clings hold on through suction or static electricity. That makes them easy to peel off and reposition, and they won't leave sticky residue behind.
Surface Finish
Typically offered in clear (transparent) or opaque white, with a high-gloss face that helps improve the "grip."
Where They Hold Up
They work best indoors, or outdoors for a short time, on glass, mirrors and polished metal.
Material Thickness
Usually somewhere from 7 to 10 mils thick, so a cling feels flexible and rubbery next to a standard sticker.
Pro tip: With no adhesive on them, window clings are sensitive to dust. If one stops sticking, just wipe the back with a damp cloth and the suction comes right back.
Artwork File Guidelines
Before anything goes to print, we look over each file you upload by hand, and we move forward with your order only when it can be printed at a stunning, no-compromise 100% quality.
Large files can be compressed into a zip and shared through any cloud file service that isn't password protected.

- Use the actual decal size at 300 dpi in RGB color mode, uncompressed, at Photoshop quality level 12.
- PSD / PSB / TIFF
- Use the actual decal size at 300 dpi in RGB color mode, with all layers merged into one background layer.
- PDF / AI / EPS
- Use the actual decal size in RGB or CMYK color mode. Embed every linked image, turn all text into outlines and expand all strokes. Use only high-resolution raster images placed at 50–100% scale. Leave the file without a password, and export to PDF whenever possible.
