Political Banner Questions, Answered
What are your political banners made of?
You can order our political banners in three materials: 8oz mesh vinyl, 13oz matte vinyl and 18oz heavy-duty vinyl. Most campaign banners use the standard 13oz matte, 18oz is the one to pick when you want added durability, and 8oz mesh is made for outdoor spots that see a lot of wind.
These vinyl banners are built for rallies, campaign events, stages, fences, offices, buildings and outdoor displays. They work well as candidate banners, vote banners and election banners, and for races from city council, school board, judge and sheriff all the way up to a presidential campaign.
How do I pick the right banner material?
For most political banners, 13oz matte vinyl is the way to go. Pick 18oz heavy-duty vinyl if the banner will stay up longer or take more wear and tear. Go with 8oz mesh vinyl on fences, in windy locations and for stage setups where sound or air has to flow through.
13oz matte is the best place to start for the majority of campaign banner orders. On fence banners, large public displays and outdoor rally banners, mesh can cut down on billowing. If a campaign banner needs to last for the long haul, 18oz heavy-duty vinyl adds strength.
Can I use political banners outdoors?
Yes. Our political banners are made for campaign use both inside and outside. The vinyl materials resist water and UV light and are built to cope with normal outdoor exposure.
Outdoors, they come in handy at campaign headquarters and rallies, along parade routes, on fences and building fronts, at community events and in displays during voting season. They give candidates and campaign teams highly visible election advertising, so they don't have to depend on paid media or yard signs alone.
Is mesh the better choice for a windy location?
Yes. When wind is a worry, mesh vinyl is the stronger option. Air passes through the 8oz mesh material, which helps cut down on billowing, pulling and strain on the banner.
Mesh banners do well on chain-link fences, stages, rally spaces, open areas and outdoor event barriers. They're a smart fit for outdoor rally banners, grommeted campaign banners and event banners hung where solid vinyl might catch too much wind.
What size political banners can I get?
Our political banners come in sizes from 2' × 2' up to 10' × 50'. Heights run from 2 to 10 feet, and depending on the height you select, widths can reach 50 feet.
That range covers everything from small vote banners and mid-size campaign banners to big vinyl banners for stages and fences and oversized election banners. Campaigns can keep it compact for offices and events, or go wide for rallies, walls, fences and maximum public visibility.
Is a custom banner size possible?
Yes. We offer plenty of banner sizes to choose from and may be able to handle a custom size request. A custom size is usually priced at the next larger standard size available.
Custom sizes help when a campaign has to fit a banner to a particular wall, fence, booth, stage, storefront or rally site. That gives candidates more say over the banner's design and layout and over where it's displayed in public.
Can I send you my own banner artwork?
Yes, you're welcome to upload your own custom design. We accept AI, PSD, EPS, PDF, TIFF, PNG and JPEG files.
Uploading works well for campaigns that already have a finished design, a campaign logo, a candidate photo, party branding, a slogan or an election message. It makes ordering custom political banners online easier, since nobody has to rebuild the design from scratch.
How should I set up my artwork files?
For JPEG and PNG files, work at the actual banner size and 100 to 300 dpi in RGB color mode, skipping compression if you can. For AI, EPS and PDF files, use the actual size or half (50%) of the banner size, embed any linked images, outline all text and expand every stroke.
These settings keep candidate names, campaign text, logos, borders, flags, stars, photos and election messages crisp in print. Clean artwork is important because people often see political banners from a distance and have to read them quickly.
Is there a template option if I don't have artwork?
Yes. You can pick one of our political banner templates and customize it online, changing the fonts, colors, text, graphics, layout and campaign details before you order.
Templates come in handy for mayor, judge, sheriff, city council and school board races, as well as for presidential banners, vote banners and banners for any candidate's campaign. They give you a professional campaign design without having to start from an empty file.
Do political banners come with grommets?
Yes. Metal grommets are available, and you can choose from several placements: all 4 corners, top corners only, along the top and bottom at 1-foot or 2-foot intervals, all 4 sides, or no grommets at all.
Grommeted campaign banners are easier to hang with zip ties, cords, rope, hooks or bungees. They're handy for vinyl banners mounted on walls, fences, railings, stages, booths, buildings and outdoor rally displays.
Do grommets come in different colors?
Yes. We offer silver and black grommets for political banners, so you can pick whichever suits your design best.
Black grommets can blend in better on darker designs, while silver is a common pick for standard vinyl banners. Matching the grommet color helps a custom banner look cleaner and less distracting once it's hung.
What's the purpose of hemming?
Hemming strengthens the banner's edges. Depending on the option you select, we offer hems on all 4 sides or no hemming.
Hemmed banners are the better choice for outdoor use, for banners with grommets and for any display that needs sturdier edges. Heat-welded hems help campaign banners hold up through transport, installation, outdoor events and repeated use.
Is hemming worth adding to my banner?
For most outdoor political banners, yes, it's the safer option. Hems reinforce the edges and help support the grommets when the banner is mounted, hung or tied.
They're particularly helpful for campaign banners on rally stages, fences, railings, building fronts and outdoor event spaces. Banners that hang indoors, short-term displays and banners mounted in sheltered spots may do fine without one.
Do your political banners resist water and UV light?
Yes. The banner materials are both water-resistant and UV-resistant. Printed banners are made to handle outdoor exposure while helping limit fading from weather and sun.
That makes our political banners a great choice for outdoor campaign signs, vote banners, election banners, rally banners and community displays. For the best results, hang banners securely and don't put solid vinyl where strong wind can pull hard against it.
Is the banner material fireproof?
Our vinyl banner material carries an NFPA 701 fireproof certification. That can be important for stages, indoor events, public venues and other places that may have safety requirements for banners.
When you're buying banners for a campaign stage, a political event, an auditorium or an indoor election display, the fire rating can be a key detail. Even so, confirm the rules with the venue before you place an order for a public event space.
Do you print political banners in full color?
Yes. We print our political banners in full color using a 6-color inkset and HP Latex Print Technology, a process made for bright color, clean lettering and high-resolution graphics.
Full-color printing makes campaign names, slogans, logos, flags, stars and photos pop. That matters for campaign vinyl banners, custom political banners, candidate banners and election banners that need to be noticed fast from far away.
How do you ship political banners?
We ship banners rolled instead of folded. Rolling keeps creases out and leaves the banner ready for a cleaner display.
That's useful for vinyl campaign banners, custom political banners, election banners and big rally banners, where wrinkles can make a display look less professional. A rolled banner arrives in better shape for offices, events, fences and public installations.
How quickly can you make political banners?
It depends on how many you order. According to our product details, orders of 1, 5 or 10 banners take 1 business day, 20 banners take 2, and 50 banners take 3 business days. Work on production and shipping begins on the business day following placement and approval of your order.
That speed helps campaigns that need banners in a hurry before canvassing events, rallies, debates, fundraisers, early voting or election day. Production time and shipping time are counted separately, so check when your order will be delivered before you buy.
What's the shipping time?
Ground shipping usually takes 2 to 7 business days, based on where the order is going. Delivery times are estimates and can change because of weather, carrier delays or other problems.
We ship within the continental U.S. and can't deliver to APO addresses or PO boxes. If your campaign is ordering banners close to a deadline, plan around production and shipping time together.
How are political banners priced?
The price depends on the size, material, quantity, grommets, hemming and any other options you select. Ordering more banners can bring down the price of each one.
This page shows volume pricing examples at quantities of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50. Large campaign orders, including bulk and wholesale political banners, let campaigns get their message into more places at a lower cost per piece.
Are your political banners made in the USA?
Yes. We print and produce our banners in the USA, which is also where our production and sales facility is based.
Banners printed in the USA are a good fit for campaigns that need reliable production, consistent quality control and a quick turnaround. That's important for local races, mayoral and city council campaigns, school board elections, judge and sheriff races and bigger election advertising orders.
